وُلِدَ بَشير حَليمي في مداوْروش شَمالِ شَرقيِّ الْجَزائرِ سَنَةَ 1956،

Bashir Halimi was born in Mdawrosh in Northeast Algeria in 1956.

 عُرِفَ بِتَفَوُّقِهِ الدِّراسِيِّ.

He was known for his academic excellence.

 وفي عامِ 1974، بَدَأَتْ قِصَّتُهُ عِندَما اكْتَشَفَ خَلَلًا في مادَّةِ الرِّياضِيّاتِ،

In 1974, his story started when he discovered a flaw in math subject,

 فَذاعَ صيتُهُ بَيْنَ أَساتِذَتِهِ،

His fame has spread among his teachers,

 وَقامَ الرَّئيسُ الْجَزائِريُّ بِإِرْسالِ طائِرَةٍ خاصَّةٍ لَهُ لِنَقْلِهِ مِن مَدينَتِهِ إلى الْعاصِمَةِ الْجَزائِريَّةِ،

And the Algerian president has sent a private plane to carry him from his town to the Algerian capital,

 حَيْثُ أَثْبَتَ أَمامَ لَجْنَةٍ مُخْتَصَّةٍ صِحَّةَ ما قالَهُ، وتَمَّ تَصْحيحُ الْخَطَأِ.

Where he proved in front of a specialized committee the truth of what he has said, and the mistake has been corrected. 

 في هَذا الْعامِ أَيْضًا حَصَلَ على مُعَدَّلِ 17 في شَهادةِ البكالوريا  العامَّةِ.

 In this year also he got an average of 17 in the general baccalaureate certificate.

  بَعْدَ هَذا تَمَّ مَنْحُ بشير مِنْحَةٍ دِراسِيَّةٍ لِلْدِّراسَةِ في أَرْقى جامِعاتِ كَنَدا،

After that Bashir has been awarded a scholarship to study in the fanciest universities of Canada,

 حَيْثُ تَخَصَّصَ في الْبَرْمَجَةِ، وَحَصَلَ على الْماجِسْتير.

Where he specialized in programming, and he got a master degree.

  بَعْدَ إنْهائِهِ التَّعْليمَ الْجامِعِيِّ،

After he finished his university education,

 اسْتَطاعَ بِفَضْلِ ذَكائِهِ إنْشاءَ عَدَدٍ مَنَ الشَّرِكاتِ والمُؤَسَّساتِ التِّقَنِيَّةِ.

 Thanks to his cleverness he could establish many companies and technical institutions.

  أَمّا إنْجازاتُهُ فَهِيَ عَديدَةٌ،

His achievements are various,

مِنْ أَهَمِّها مُساهَمَتُهُ في جَعْلِ الْلُغَةِ الْعَرَبِيَّةِ لُغَةَ إدْخالٍ في الْحاسوبِ،

The most important achievement is his contribution in making the Arabic language an input language in the computer, 

 عِنْدَما استَعانَتْ بِهِ مايكروسوفت، الشَّرِكَةُ الْعالَمِيَّةُ، لِلاسْتِفادَةِ مِنْ قُدُراتِهِ،

When Microsoft, the international company, used him to profit from his abilities,

 فَساعَدَها في إدْخالِ الْعَرَبِيَّةِ ولُغاتٍ أُخْرى.

As he helped to introduce Arabic and other languages.

 كَذَلِكَ أَسَّسَ "سبيتش موبيليتي"، وهِيَ شَرِكَةٌ عالَمِيَّةٌ في مَيْدانِ الْإعْلامِ الْآلِيِّ،

Also he founded “Speech Mobility”, which is an international company in the field of automatic media.

 قَدَّمَتْ خَدَماتِها لِأَكْبَرِ الشَّرِكاتِ الْعالَمِيَّةِ في التكنولوجيا.

It offered its services to the biggest international companies in technology.

 كَما كانَ عِنْدَهُ اهتِمامٌ خاصٌّ بِأَبْناءِ بَلَدِهِ فَأَسَّسَ مُؤَسَّسَةً غَيْرَ رِبْحِيَّةٍ، 

As he had a special interest in his countrymen so he created a non-profit institution,

وَالَّتي تَهْدِفُ إِلى دَعْمِ الْبَحْثِ الْعِلْمِيِّ. 

Which aims to support scientific research.

أَمّا الْيَوْمَ فما زالَ يَتَرَّأَسُ مُؤَسَّسَتَينِ،

Today he still presides over two establishments,

 ويُشارِكُ في مُؤْتَمَراتٍ، ويُساهِمُ بِأَعْمالٍ تَطَوُّعِيَّةٍ.

And he participates in conferences and contributes to voluntary work.
